Business Development Manager

This job description outlines the key responsibilities and requirements for the Head of Sales and Marketing position at BYD Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to drive growth and market penetration within the assigned region.
Main Responsibilities Include:
- Sales Planning: Develop comprehensive sales plans to drive market share growth and meet sales targets.
- Business Expansion: Manage business growth in an Omni-channel perspective with a B2B2C mindset. Responsible for key sales metrics and KPIs of the region.
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, key industry partners, and final users within the region.
- Sales Performance Analysis: Analyze sales performance and provide insights into market trends, sales data, and challenges.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify new market segments and customer groups within the region.
- Brand Building: Collaborate with the marketing team to increase brand reputation and influence within key industry partners.
- Sales Team Leadership: Lead and develop the sales team, setting targets, and evaluating performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments to ensure alignment and collaboration across functions to support business goals.
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in the car industry.
- Strong knowledge of the Swedish market, including customer preferences, distribution channels, and regulatory environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strategic thinking and business acumen to develop effective sales strategies and drive revenue growth.
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and verbal. Additional language skills are a plus.
- Ability to travel as required within Sweden and occasionally internationally.
