Lead Frontend Engineer | E-commerce Platform

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are on the lookout for a seasoned frontend engineer to join our team focused on the webshop and its content management system (CMS). By becoming part of our team, you will immerse yourself in an environment that encourages experimentation and the testing of new technologies to enhance user experience. This role is ideal for those who relish improving user interfaces while also valuing data-driven approaches to assess the impact of their enhancements on actual users.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

● Develop and deliver high-quality products and services

● Collaborate with Product Designers to create and implement the next generation of E-commerce solutions

● Construct efficient and reusable frontend abstractions and systems

● Engage in design and code reviews

● Identify, establish, and communicate best practices for frontend engineering

● Drive and participate in your team's professional development

● Recognize and address performance bottlenecks

● Identify areas for improvement and proactively implement solutions with your team

● Facilitate effective communication between your team and other business units

Some of the technologies and tools we utilize to build our systems include: PHP, Symfony, MySQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, Google Cloud Platform, JavaScript, React, Redux, TypeScript, Sass, Styled Components, Elixir, Go, Cloudflare, Docker, Kubernetes, New Relic, and Phabricator. YOUR PROFILE

● A minimum of 5 years of experience working with modern JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks. Experience with React and/or Redux is a plus.

● Familiarity with communication protocols and practices such as HTTP, WebSockets, and REST

● A strong interest in frontend performance, debugging, and benchmarking

● A BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is desirable.
