About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Regulation Engineer to join our Regulatory Works team within the Emission Compliance department. As a key member of this team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing global non-road and marine emissions regulations for the Volvo Penta portfolio.

In this position, you will work closely with our Regulatory Affairs Managers, who focus on lawmaking and lobbying activities for marine and industrial emission regulations. You will also collaborate with our Regulation Engineers, who ensure compliance by integrating published regulations into Volvo Penta projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee global non-road and marine emissions regulations for the Volvo Penta portfolio.
  • Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs Managers on lawmaking and lobbying activities.
  • Work with Regulation Engineers to ensure compliance and integrate published regulations into Volvo Penta projects.
  • Cultivate relationships with authorities to ensure compliance and influence regulatory discussions.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in regulatory affairs, lawmaking, or a related field, preferably with a focus on emission regulations.
  • Deep knowledge and strong interest in regulations, their terminology, and the ability to coach and train internal teams.
  • Master's degree (MSc) or preferably a PhD in Internal Combustion Engines (ICE), ATS or a related technical field.
  • Fluent in English (additional language skills are a plus).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written (reports, documentation) and verbal (presentations, discussions).
