About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SCADA Engineer to lead the integration of SCADA systems into control and upgrade tenders, focusing on worldwide HVDC projects.

This critical role requires collaboration with internal and external teams, ensuring successful project outcomes throughout the tendering, conceptual design, detailed design, testing, installation, and commissioning phases.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and verifying the SCADA interface between customer systems and HVDC control and protection systems, adhering to industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design technical solutions for high-quality and reusable designs.
  • Manage databases using MS SQL.
  • Provide training and share knowledge within the organization.
  • Contribute a positive and proactive mindset to create a good team atmosphere.

Requirements:

  • An engineering-related degree, preferably computer science with a focus on data communication and network technology.
  • Practical experience in data communication and network technology with a focus on SCADA is required.
  • Proficiency in protocols used for energy automation systems like IEC 60870-5-101/104, IEC 61850, DNP3, and corresponding communication structures.
  • Experience in both engineering and commissioning activities.
  • Fluency in English is necessary due to the international nature of the role.
  • Competency in Swedish is beneficial.
  • Previous experience with Hitachi Energy's product portfolio, MicroSCADA, and AVEVA System Platform (InTouch), is highly valued.
