About the Role



We are seeking a skilled Technical Author to join our team at Cyient. As a Technical Author, you will play a crucial role in creating high-quality technical documentation for various operation and maintenance manuals and technical publications.

Responsibilities



- Write technical copy for various operation and maintenance manuals and technical publications under direct supervision.

- Prepare written text and coordinate layout and organization of manuals and other documents according to prepared outlines and specifications.

- Research available technical data including drawings, design reports, equipment, and test specifications.

- Collaborate with engineers and other technical personnel to clarify document contents.

Requirements



To be successful as a Technical Author, you will need:

- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

- Less than two years of experience in technical writing.

- Strong knowledge of technical publication tools such as Adobe Illustrator, ISO Draw, Adobe Photoshop, Epic Editor, Creo View, Creo Parametric, Team Center, Windchill, PDM, SAP, etc.

- Experience working on Engineering Technical Publication projects, including Technical Authoring, Illustrations, Parts Catalogs, e-learning portal development, etc.

Preferred Qualifications



- 6+ years of overall work experience.

- Proven experience in Rail Transportation, Heavy Engineering, or Automobile domains.

- Sound knowledge of technical publication projects, including Technical Authoring, Illustrations, Parts Catalogs, e-learning portal development, etc.

What We Offer



As a Technical Author at Cyient, you can expect a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on your location and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and more.
