The Role of the Risk Officer
  1. Establish and further develop the 2nd line risk function at the Sweden branch of an EU-based regulated CRR institute as part of the risk team located at Munich headquarters.
  2. Identify, manage, and report relevant risks of the branch business lines resulting from international brokerage & custody business; support central risk management to integrate branch risks in the relevant calculation models.
  3. Further develop necessary risk governance, processes, and internal controls according to the group's framework.
  4. Perform key control testing, support BIA and BCP as well as process modelling.
  5. Assess and calculate the branch risks in projects, new product, and business process as well as in strategic planning and forecast (capital and liquidity).
  6. Support but also monitor 1st line branch business lines regarding appropriate risk management and mitigation actions as well as process documentation.
  7. Contact and expert for risk and regulatory relevant topics of the branch.
  8. The role spans across Financial and Non-Financial risks, including risk management regarding IT services.
Key Requirements
  • Degree in economics, business, or banking, further training in risk management is desirable.
  • IT skills in the MS Office package and risk and process modelling systems.
  • Good knowledge of processes and controls in the international securities business.
  • Broad experience in risk management in a bank or investment firm, experience in a 2nd line function of a brokerage and custody business area is desirable.
  • Good knowledge of the applicable European regulatory framework as well as the relevant national requirements of headquarter and branch.
  • Good knowledge of the Nordic and if possible, of the European banking market.
  • All communications at FNZ are in English. Additional language skills are an advantage.
