**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Optimization Specialist to join our team at Dabster Group. As a key member of our cost engineering team, you will be responsible for analyzing and managing the costs associated with cast iron components in the automobile industry.

**Key Responsibilities**

  1. Conduct thorough cost analysis and estimation for cast iron components used in automobile manufacturing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our production processes.
  2. Collaborate with our design, engineering, and procurement teams to optimize cost without compromising quality, driving business growth and profitability.
  3. Develop and maintain cost models for cast iron parts, considering material, labor, and overhead costs, to inform strategic business decisions.
  4. Evaluate supplier quotations and negotiate pricing to achieve cost savings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  5. Monitor and report on cost performance, identifying areas for cost reduction and process improvement, and providing actionable recommendations to senior management.
  6. Ensure that all cost-related activities are aligned with our company's strategic objectives, driving business success and growth.
  7. Provide technical support and guidance to cross-functional teams regarding cost-related issues, promoting a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  8. Prepare detailed cost reports and present findings to senior management, using data-driven insights to inform business decisions.

**Requirements**

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost engineering, preferably within the automobile industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of cast iron materials and manufacturing processes, with a focus on cost optimization.
  4. Proficiency in cost estimation tools and software, with experience in data analysis and reporting.
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
  6. Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  7. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with a focus on driving business results and growth.
  8. Fluency in English; knowledge of Swedish is a plus.
