Electronics Design Engineer for Scientific Instruments

CK Group is a leading recruitment agency based in the UK, and we are partnering with an industry-leading manufacturer of scientific instruments to find a talented Electronics Design Engineer.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and driven professional to join our client's team as an Electronics Design Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing new electronic circuit boards containing digital and analog components, participating in the entire process of releasing new products, and maintaining the existing portfolio up-to-date.

• Development and design of electronic circuit boards containing digital and analog components
• Participating in the entire process of releasing new products, maintaining the existing portfolio up-to-date, and addressing end-of-life (EOL) situations by updating instruments while ensuring regulatory compliance
• Debugging, trouble-shooting, and repairing on a PCBA level using tools such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc.
• Working closely in a small team and interacting with other functions, e.g., Software, Applications, and Product Management teams

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Electronics Design Engineer with a strong background in electrical engineering and experience in PCBA design from idea to volume manufacturing. Your proficiency with Altium Designer or other CAD tools is essential, and experience in hardware debugging is desirable. Additionally, you should have basic understanding of EMC, ESD, and electrical safety as well as standards related to legal market requirements.

• BSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent plus 3 years or more experience in a similar position
• Experience in PCBA design from idea to volume manufacturing
• Proficiency with Altium Designer or other CAD tools
• Experience in hardware debugging
• Basic understanding of EMC, ESD, and electrical safety as well as standards related to legal market requirements

• An estimated salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience
