Senior Aerodynamics & Thermodynamics Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Aerodynamics & Thermodynamics Engineer to join our Flight Sciences team in Göteborg, Sweden. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and certification of our aircraft, utilizing their expertise in aerodynamic and thermal engineering to drive innovation and efficiency.

About You
We are looking for an exceptional individual with at least 10 years' experience in aerospace engineering, preferably in a senior role within an OEM company environment. Your background should include direct experience in aircraft aerodynamics and thermodynamics, with significant conceptual and preliminary design experience. Additionally, you should have expertise in CFD software packages, such as ANSYS Fluent or OpenFOAM, and be well-versed in numerical methods, discretization techniques, turbulence modelling, and semi-empirical methods.

Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead aerodynamic and thermodynamic design efforts for aircraft systems and components, perform trade studies to evaluate and optimize various design options, propose modifications to achieve optimum performance, and develop solutions to conduct analyses efficiently. You will also ensure compliance with regulatory and certification requirements, design and execute test programs, and plan, conduct, and analyse wind tunnel experiments. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills in English will enable you to work closely with all engineering teams to integrate and optimize performance.

Key Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this position, you should possess advanced proficiency in CFD software, strong understanding of numerical methods and discretization techniques, experience working in a start-up environment, and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Additionally, you should be eager to work with others and passionate about aircraft and the electrification of the aviation industry.
