We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Stockholm. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a new organisation and shape our financial strategy.

About the role

You will be responsible for overseeing daily financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with relevant standards and regulations, and contributing to financial planning and system improvement projects.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Preparing and analyzing asset, liability, and capital account entries, and preparing balance sheet reconciliations
  2. Supporting the month-end closing process and ensuring all relevant procedures and controls are followed
  3. Preparing financial statements for statutory and investor reporting
  4. Reviewing financials to substantiate transactions and resolving discrepancies
  5. Implementing and maintaining accounting controls, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with IFRS, K3, and relevant legislation
  6. Addressing accounting procedure questions and providing support for technical queries from the finance organisation
  7. Managing the audit process and liaising with external auditors as necessary
  8. Collaborating with the business controller and wider organisation to ensure proper implementation of accounting policies, improve systems, and manage ERP processes related to costs and inventory

Requirements include:

  1. At least 5 years of experience in accounting, financial control or similar
  2. Degree in accounting, business or similar
  3. Professional qualifications (ACCA, ACA, CPA) or similar are a merit

Benefits include:

  1. Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is preferred
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Office with good knowledge of Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, PowerBI, etc.)
  3. Effective communication skills in English, Swedish is a plus
