We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of innovative products that help solve some of the world's toughest challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Develop hardware requirements and solutions for new products, as well as refine design for legacy products.
- Work in a small team responsible for consumables used in allergy testing equipment.
- Collaborate with instrument developers and production engineers to ensure seamless product development.
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent within Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant technical subject.
- Experience from development of injection-molded parts.
- Experience from development of serial produced products.
- Understanding of complex product requirements.
- Experience from development, based on data-driven decisions.
- Skilled in 3D-CAD, preferably surface modeling (Creo).
- Experience from life science.
- Ability to contribute to planning activities.
- Ability to work independently, taking ownership for the management of processes, projects, and timelines.
- Ability to communicate and report to lead designers and team members.
- Knowledge and experience within Six Sigma.
- Ability to work across departments, in a matrix organization.
- Strong self-leadership and presentation skills.
- Result-driven and team-oriented with the ability to influence outcomes as necessary.
- Good organizational and time management skills to lead multiple ongoing business activities simultaneously.
- Good English skills are a requirement for this position.
