QHSE Director

Job Title: QHSE Director - Marine Operations

Nexer Recruit - Göteborg is seeking a highly experienced QHSE Director - Marine Operations to lead the development and implementation of QHSE systems for our modern fleet operating in offshore and marine services.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in QHSE, with experience in developing and implementing QHSE systems, managing risk assessments, and conducting audits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Implement QHSE Systems: Collaborate with the Operations and Fleet Teams to develop, implement, and maintain the Safety Management System (SMS) and Quality and Operational Manuals.
• Lead Audits and Risk Assessments: Conduct internal and external audits to verify the effective implementation of SMS and quality policies and objectives, and assist in marine incident investigations and risk assessments.
• Manage QHSE Team: Oversee and support a dedicated QHSE team, including QA & Safety Officers, ensuring timely and effective implementation of safety and quality initiatives.
• Enhance QHSE Systems: Drive the enhancement and evolution of QHSE systems and strategies, ensuring alignment with global standards and preparing for future industry challenges.

Requirements:

• Education and Certifications: A Marine Engineer (or equivalent) with a Bachelor's degree and certified in Safety Management (e.g., NEBOSH Certificate, MVK, or equivalent) and auditing techniques (e.g., ISM/ISO9001 Internal Auditor or equivalent).
• Experience: At least 15 years of experience in QHSE aspects of marine operations, including 8 years in managerial or leadership roles.
• Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with proficiency in English and computer literacy.
