Senior Production Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities- Quality Assurance: Lead quality assurance activities to ensure that production/product quality specifications are met.
- Team Leadership: Lead and train quality team members and operations on quality standards and procedures.
- Process Improvement: Create control plans and participate in FMEA analysis, facilitating continuous updates of PFMEAs with multidisciplinary teams.
- Procedure Development: Define and improve work instructions and procedures for quality-related activities.
- Data Analysis: Monitor and analyze complex data using statistical process control tools.
- Problem Solving: Drive complex problem-solving and root cause analysis.
- Quality Improvement: Drive quality improvement and optimization projects utilizing six sigma methodology.
- Knowledge Sharing: Transfer actions and lessons learned between products and production lines, integrating external lessons into preventive or corrective actions.
- Change Management: Serve as a quality stakeholder in change management.
- Expertise: Provide expert technology and quality knowledge of selected manufacturing processes.
- Method Validation: Define, improve, and validate results of methods for MSA of measurement equipment.
- Team Support: Lead team members on SPC, capability studies, and quality process release and line release activities.
- Onboarding: Perform onboarding and timesheets validation for led team members.
- Recruitment Support: Support performing interviews during the recruitment process.
- Launch Activities: Lead launch activities to ensure deliverables of different projects.
- Safety: Report and mitigate safety-relevant issues within the team in the appropriate system.
- Customer Collaboration: Collaborate closely with customer quality engineers to deliver required input to customer projects, e.g., PPAP documentation.
- Equipment Commissioning: Be part of the equipment commissioning team and deliver acceptance testing and qualification milestones of new process equipment and installation of additional production lines. Quality stakeholder in process and product gate reviews.
- Education: MSc or BSc degree in Chemical/Manufacturing/Engineering.
- Experience: 6+ years of relevant work experience within high-volume assembly/production, ideally in an operational role.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in manufacturing quality in a relevant industry. Experience in the battery/automotive industry is a plus.
- Leadership Skills: Leadership skills and a successful track record of leading quality improvement/six sigma projects in manufacturing and/or with suppliers.
- Quality Management: Knowledge of quality management systems, e.g., ISO 9001, IATF16949, TQM.
- Quality Tools: Knowledgeable in SPC, process capability, FMEA, quality troubleshooting tools, and problem-solving methodology, Lean Six Sigma, and Statistics.
- Personal Qualities: Curious, action-oriented, and result-driven, with a hands-on approach.
