Role Overview:
As a Payment Cross Sell Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of driving adoption and revenue growth with our existing customers. Your primary responsibility will be to hunt new opportunities and identify high-value customer prospects within a specific territory, collaborating with Account Managers where necessary.
You'll engage with our customers to understand their needs and align our portfolio of products to add the most value. Utilizing your consultative skills, you'll become a trusted advisor, guiding customers through the sales journey with Planet.
In this role, you'll execute effective campaign strategies across a customer portfolio, owning the full-cycle sales engagement plan from identifying qualified leads to revenue realization. In partnership with Account Managers, you'll identify and drive opportunity win plans for our existing customers, understanding detailed business drivers in your forecast.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Identify cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts, working closely with Account Managers to understand customer needs and build trusted relationships.
- Expand and exceed your goals within your designated sales territory.
- Present compelling proposals, define pricing models, negotiate, and sign cross-sell deals.
- Own the full sales cycle from contract to revenue realization, ensuring all signed opportunities go live and ramp according to plan.
- Track, analyze, and create reports based on opportunity activity, particularly on cross-sell and migration processes using internal CRM tools (Salesforce).
- Collaborate internally, working closely with teams such as technology, product, operations, and other sales teams to create clear cross-department process flows and boost customer satisfaction.
About You:
- A self-starter with a passion for searching for new business opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and internal team relationships.
- Experience selling payments and delivering cross-sell campaigns within the Hospitality or Retail vertical.
- Comfortable driving revenue growth and product adoption to exceed program revenue and pipeline targets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, PowerBI) and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Executive presence, comfortable working with and presenting to senior leaders and investors.
- Desired experience working with international internal stakeholders and customers.
- Languages: English + Local Language for the region covering German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian.
