Digital Games Legal Director

Establishing a strong legal foundation is crucial for the success of Spin Master Digital Games.
This role focuses on providing strategic advice and support to all Digital Games studios, working closely with senior management. Key responsibilities include drafting and negotiating various technology and commercial agreements, as well as managing global privacy compliance for the Digital Games studios (GDPR, CCPA, COPPA, and other applicable regulations).
The ideal candidate has 6-8 years of experience practicing technology and/or privacy law as in-house counsel, or a combination of both. In-house experience in a regulated environment is preferred, but relevant law firm experience will also be considered.
Demonstrated expertise dealing with technology contracts and privacy matters is essential, including knowledge of either GDPR (EU) or COPPA (USA) regulations. Experience in the gaming industry, consumer protection laws in the EU and US, and/or laws and practices applicable to the use of artificial intelligence are highly valued.
This position requires an individual with excellent business acumen and a solutions-oriented approach, capable of working independently with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will proactively address client concerns, manage client expectations, and demonstrate experience handling complex matters and transactions from beginning to end.
