Job DescriptionThe PhD position involves four years of full-time study to achieve a doctoral degree. You will be working on the project "Knowledge-based garment modularization system for upscaling remanufacturing in circular textile production" (REMAKE), funded by the Knowledge Foundation. Your tasks will include conducting research on automated remanufacturing, identifying relevant criteria for selecting used garments, and developing a knowledge-based intelligent system for garment modularization.
As a PhD researcher, you will be part of the research group Textile Value Chain Management (TVCM) led by Prof. Rudrajeet Pal. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with industry partners and contribute to the development of sustainable textile practices.
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong academic background in textile management or a related field. You should also have excellent research skills, including experience with operations research, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
