Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Financial Controller to lead our Charge Out team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, intercompany charge-out models, governance structures, and accounting rules.

The Senior Financial Controller will be responsible for running and developing the central/business-specific calculations of Vattenfall internal charges in scope. They will ensure that the model, services, allocation keys, and other specific metrics are correct and up to date.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience from a recent role in Finance, including project and change management. They will have a good understanding of global financial regulations and compliance requirements.

The Senior Financial Controller will act as a single point of contact (SPOC) towards business stakeholders and lead alignment, cooperation, and quality assurance of the charges in scope.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Running and providing quality assurance for central and business-specific charge-out calculations on a monthly or frequent basis.
  • Monitoring the correctness of allocated and automated charge-out postings done by the system.
  • Leading internal charges governance and ensuring compliance within the agreed scope.
  • Acting as the responsible leader for system development projects, new onboarding projects, and implementing required model changes.
  • Representing the CoE to internal Group customers (Business Areas - BA) for services rendered by Staff Functions (SF), such as BA Wind receiving SF Procurement charges.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience working with financial processes in an international environment.
  • A university degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Strong leadership skills, including project and change management.
  • A good understanding of global financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficient in intercompany charge-out models, governance structures, and accounting rules.
  • Expert skills in relevant financial systems (S4Hana ERP is a plus) and Office 365.
  • Experience with complex system landscapes and various data sources.
  • Fluent in business English.
