We're seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our Data Centre Engineering Operations Team as a Mechanical Chief Engineer. As a Data Centre Mechanical Chief Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that all mechanical equipment within the data centre is operating at peak efficiency. This involves planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and emergency response. The Mechanical Chief Engineer serves as an expert technical resource interacting with onsite Engineering Operations Technicians (EOT) and any third-party vendors. They are expected to be a singular focal point for all facility operations within a given data centre and to support AWS. The Mechanical Chief Engineer will also be involved with fire/life safety equipment and electrical equipment. In addition, the position requires experience in operations, and on-call support for Data Center facilities, or Mission Critical Plants/Production facilities with ability to demonstrate key electrical and mechanical competencies and theory. A Master Degree in a technical field - Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineer or equivalent would be beneficial. Project Management experience would also be highly valued.
