We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our EU Affairs team as an EU Policy Advisor. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of EU energy policy and contributing to Vattenfall's goal of achieving fossil freedom.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement impact assessments and positioning of the company on energy and climate topics, closely aligning with the rest of the EU affairs team.
- Write and edit impact assessments, policy papers, presentations, speaking points, briefings, newsletters, blog posts, and other internal and external material on EU energy and climate topics.
- Engage with EU institutions, associations, and other stakeholders to represent Vattenfall's positions, views, and interests.
We are looking for a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, who can balance between diving into a topic and seeing how it fits in the bigger picture. You should have a keen and demonstrable interest in EU energy and climate policy and the way they can/should facilitate the energy transition.
Next to this, you should be able to:
- Work effectively in a team, actively seeking to find strengths in others where you may lack something.
- Give and ask for feedback to ensure continuous growth.
- Communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner, both in writing and verbally.
- Have a master's degree or equivalent.
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills in English and at least one other EU language, with a preference for Swedish, German, Dutch, or Danish.
