IT Architect

About the Role

Vattenfall, a leader in the energy transition, seeks a seasoned IT Architect to advance its Distribution business area. As a data-driven company, we need exceptional talent to optimize decision-making and investment planning.

As an IT Architect, you will contribute to architecting a full IT/OT convergence to ensure frictionless data transfer, advanced solutions for real-time insights into grid performance, and IT infrastructure that meets distribution reliability and growth targets.

You will join our team of enterprise and solution architects, working on key projects that focus on enterprise architecture and solution architecture for all Vattenfall business units. Your expertise will help us understand business needs and adopt technologies that drive our transformation.

Your Responsibilities

• You will guide strategic projects towards successful execution based on fit-for-purpose architecture.
• You will consult and educate the Distribution business on IT strategy, integration strategy, data strategy, and IT security.
• You will have a solid understanding of IT security and support Distribution in fit-for-purpose adoption.
• You will develop Distribution domain knowledge to become the go-to point for advancing the IT landscape.
• You will drive the adoption of data mesh in collaboration with the business.
• You will help grow our Enterprise thinking and establish standards and architecture principles.

Your Profile

We seek a seasoned Architect with experience preferably as an architect or consultant in the energy or manufacturing sectors. You should have an academic degree in IT or a related field and experience working in an international environment. Proficiency in Swedish and English is required.

You should have deep IT knowledge and experience with architecture frameworks, Microsoft Azure, and security considerations. You should be able to produce enterprise-ready architecture documents and direct complex problems into concise management board actions.
