Job Overview

The Project Commissioning Lead will lead the commissioning team to achieve Mechanical Completion, including Pre-commissioning, of the facility and handover to Client. This role is responsible for planning and executing safe and efficient pre-commissioning activities, supporting the Client during Commissioning, Start-up, and Performance Testing of the facility.

This position will be responsible for developing and implementing the Execution Plan for the project, clearly defining the activities that will be performed by the team in the Home Office and during Site Execution to complete the objectives effectively and efficiently. The successful candidate will perform a Contract Review and obtain clarifications from the Project Management Team on all potential risks and impacts to the project and/or to the planning, development, and execution of commissioning and start-up activities.

The Essential Qualifications and Education for this role include:

• A BSc degree in either chemical or mechanical engineering.
• Significant experience in at least three (3) major projects in the oil and gas or chemical process industry demonstrating technical broad knowledge of commissioning and start-up.
• Effective communication skills, able to establish confident relationships with discipline managers, technical engineers, and non-engineers.
• Good presentation skills for meetings with Project Management and Client.
• Excellent computer software skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF editor, and other engineering/completions software programs.
• Excellent organizational skills and adaptability to the needs of various discipline groups.
• The ability to assess and communicate project requirements and expectations in a clearly defined, positive, and productive manner.
• Leadership experience in commissioning project teams. Proficiency in English, Multi-Language skills a plus.
