Job Description

At Swedbank, we are committed to delivering high-quality audit assurance to management and the Board. As a Financial Model Assurance Specialist, you will be integral to our audit function responsible for evaluating the effectiveness and accuracy of various financial models used within the bank.

The role involves conducting comprehensive audits of IRB-models, market-risk models, credit provisioning models, stress test models, and other related financial models. You will evaluate model development processes, including data input quality, assumptions, methodologies, and validation processes.

You will assess model governance frameworks to ensure they comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies. Your expertise will help identify potential risks associated with model usage and provide recommendations for mitigating these risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the effectiveness and accuracy of financial models used in the bank
  • Conduct comprehensive audits of IRB-models, market-risk models, and other related financial models
  • Evaluate model development processes, including data input quality and validation processes
  • Assess model governance frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies

Requirements:

  • Academic degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or statistics
  • Proficiency in applying audit techniques
  • 2+ year experience in the financial sector working with financial models within a banking environment
  • Understanding of IRB approaches for credit risk measurement or market risk measurement techniques (such as VaR) and stress testing frameworks
