Hitachi Energy, Ludvika is seeking a Strategic Procurement Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for maintaining and developing the supply base with focus on quality, delivery, and total cost.

The successful candidate will define and drive local sourcing strategies, run regular supplier evaluations, and initiate improvement projects when required. Additionally, they will identify new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team and qualify them in cooperation with Supplier Quality and Engineering specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and develop the supply base with focus on quality, delivery, and total cost.
  2. Define and drive local sourcing strategies.
  3. Run regular supplier evaluations and initiate improvement projects when required.
  4. Identify new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team and qualify them in cooperation with Supplier Quality and Engineering specialists.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Curious person with the drive to challenge themselves and the organization for continuous improvement.
  • Good communication and networking skills as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience within supply chain or similar areas.
  • Strong sense of ownership and problem-solving attitude.
  • Well-versed in MS tools – Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Power BI, etc.
