Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our Assay R&D team in Solna, Sweden. As a Research Scientist, you will be responsible for evaluating, testing, and optimizing real-time PCR and RT-PCR assay procedures and prototypes.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and optimize real-time PCR and RT-PCR assay procedures and prototypes based on design of experiments and design input requirements.
- Deliver experimental plans, perform and analyze experiments, and report results.
- Contribute to the achievement of project, department, and company goals.
- Participate in analytical problem-solving to identify critical performance factors for assay development.
- Work in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues to achieve common objectives.
- Analyze data using statistical tools such as Microsoft Excel, Minitab, or JMP.
- Work in a BSL3 environment and maintain accurate records of experiments and results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology) with 2+ years of related work experience or Master's degree in a relevant scientific discipline with 0-2 years of related work experience.
- Knowledge of molecular biology methods, experimental design, data analysis, and statistical techniques.
- Ability to plan, perform, and analyze experiments independently.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage lab work and maintain detailed experimental records.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in IVD product development under design control.
