The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Software Engineer. As a key member of our Neuro business line, you will play a critical role in developing Leksell GammaPlan, a desktop Linux-based integrated treatment planning system for the Leksell Gamma Knife. Your primary responsibility will be designing efficient, reliable, and high-performance software solutions to help medical professionals plan personalized and precise cancer treatments.
Key Responsibilities
• Participate in all phases of software R&D projects, with a focus on requirement specification, design, planning, implementation, testing, and documentation, while adhering to company standards.
• Evaluate technologies, methodologies, and products to enhance software development.
• Apply Agile principles and practices, following the SAFe methodology as part of a Scrum team.
• Understand and adhere to Elekta's quality system while contributing to its continuous improvement.
Requirements
To thrive in this role, you should enjoy working in an Agile team environment and be comfortable discussing, reviewing, and verifying your work and that of the team before it reaches end users. We also expect that you have:
  • 3-5 years of experience in C++ development.
  • Experience in a team-based environment with disciplined use of source code version control and branch management.
  • A university degree in Computer Science, Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional proficiency in English.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with multi-disciplinary product development.
  • Familiarity with Linux-based systems.
  • Previous experience in a medical or other regulated industry.
