We are seeking an experienced Technical Director for our Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. You will be responsible for overseeing the technical progress and ensuring that all technical aspects—such as high-voltage substations, power transformers, and control systems—are delivered successfully.
About the Project
You will lead the technical delivery of grid connection solutions for large-scale BESS projects, ensuring compliance with technical requirements for substations, switchgear, power transformers, and control systems throughout construction, commissioning, and operations in Sweden and Europe.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the technical project manager in designing technical solutions for large-scale BESS projects, including developing technical specifications for procurement of substations, switchgear, transformers, and control systems, as well as managing service contracts.Lead and manage the communication and coordination of technical information between internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.Ensure the projects adhere to relevant regulations and technical standards, and drive technical problem-solving during project execution.Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the design philosophy for substations and switchgear systems to ensure optimal integration into BESS projects.Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in Swedish is a plus, but not required.
- Experience with the technical requirements for substations, switchgear, and power transformers.
- Several years of experience in a similar role, specifically in the energy sector or similar technical fields, with hands-on experience leading the technical aspects of large-scale infrastructure projects.
