About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AI & ML Foundation Manager to join our team at Volvo Group. As a key member of our Data & AI Foundation, you will be responsible for establishing a solid technology base for our data platform on the AI and ML areas using cloud services.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to define and deliver the roadmap for AI and ML services, develop and manage a team of highly skilled AI & ML experts, and explore innovative technologies within the field to drive new artificial intelligence use cases.

You will also be responsible for delivering use cases in this area, bringing expertise when and where needed, and steering the overall AI & ML community to ensure the overall AI & ML expertise level is increasing across the Volvo Group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the AI & ML foundation product
  • Define and deliver the roadmap covering the Volvo needs in the area of Machine Learning and Artificial intelligence (including Natural Language processing, computer vision, intelligent automation...)
  • Develop and Manage a team of highly skilled AI & ML experts
  • Explore innovative technologies within the field needed to new artificial intelligence use cases
  • Deliver use cases in this area, bringing expertise when and where needed
  • Steer the overall AI & ML community and secure the overall AI & ML expertise level is increasing across the Volvo Group.
Requirements

To be successful in this position, you will need to have a university degree or equivalent, and several years of experience from leading people in Digital & IT. You should have developed the technology strategy and roadmap for the area and managed the technology evolution through releases of new services.

You should be knowledgeable in covering the full scope of service development from frameworks and standards to configuration and automation, as well as from coding to setting up infrastructure. You should also have experience from driving the priority setting and planning cycle for the product, including overall capacity management and resource allocation.

The right candidate will be able to think and act strategically but also to operate and implement change tactically when required, dealing effectively with ambiguity, and managing changing priorities. You should be passionate about driving strategic & technological transformation in a business focused, fact-based, and collaborative way to achieve real impact.
