Hitachi Energy's HVDC technology enables the efficient transmission of electricity over long distances and across seas. We are now seeking an Acoustic Systems Engineer to join our team in Ludvika, Sweden.

Your Role
In this position, you will evaluate acoustics through calculations, modeling, and 3D simulations of noise propagation. You will work in a multidisciplinary technical environment where mechanical, climate, and electrical considerations are necessary as well as cost and quality. Your goal will be to convert theoretical results into reality in actual design suggestions in cooperation with equipment and civil construction responsible.

Join Our Team
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Noise Vibration Mitigation Expert to join our team in Ludvika, Sweden. As a key member of our HVDC business unit, you will analyze noise propagation, suggest and specify mitigations on equipment and plant level, and support the organization in the acoustic area. You will work in a highly international environment with colleagues from over 70 nationalities.

Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for evaluating acoustics through calculations, modeling, and 3D simulations of noise propagation. Your goal will be to convert theoretical results into reality in actual design suggestions in cooperation with equipment and civil construction responsible.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have a Doctor or Master of Science in acoustics or similar experience. Experience from soundPLAN or similar acoustic modelling software is a merit. Prior experience in technical areas such as mechanics, climate, and electrical aspects is beneficial but not required.
