About the Role:

The ICFR Governance Specialist will be responsible for driving the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust internal controls that meet industry best practices. This will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to assess and mitigate risks impacting financial reporting, as well as leading the testing and evaluation of control effectiveness.

What You Will Do:

  • Act as a key contact for internal and external auditors, ensuring that recommendations are implemented and aligned with internal stakeholders
  • Point of contact for queries from across the business regarding ICFR matters
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive ICFR documentation, including policies, process narratives, and risk matrices
  • Collaborate with senior management and internal clients to drive continuous improvement in ICFR processes and reporting
  • Manage the Control Self-Assessment (CSA) process, including implementing a framework for liaising with Joint Ventures
  • Complete quarterly reporting to the Audit Committee on ICFR compliance status and trends

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in internal control, risk management, or audit, preferably within a listed group
  • Strong knowledge of ICFR and financial governance principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to impart knowledge to others
  • Highly organized, with the ability to handle conflicting demands and meet deadlines
  • Ability to engage with senior management, group, and local internal clients
  • qualified Accountant – ACA/ACCA or equivalent
