Snowdrop is a powerful game engine that enables content creators to unleash their creative potential. As a Build Engineer at Massive, your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining the Snowdrop Build System, our internal tools suite for continuous delivery and integration across game projects.

You will play a key role in empowering game productions worldwide to leverage existing technology and share their developments effortlessly. Your responsibilities will include creating and maintaining large game build pipelines (orchestrations) for AAA game projects at Ubisoft.

We seek an innovative thinker who thrives in a dynamic environment, where machines work for you rather than the other way around. You'll have opportunities to encourage innovation from concept through deployment, adopt new technologies, and shape the future of our infrastructure as we move to Kubernetes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay up-to-date with best practices and industry standards, ensuring their implementation in development processes and infrastructure.
  • Solve complex software problems using various tools and resources.
  • Liaise with and assist other teams regarding use cases, shared issues, and questions.
  • Share knowledge and provide support to team members during critical stages of development.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies to improve our environment and processes.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this position, you'll need a solid general technical understanding, allowing you to thrive in systems with constant change and improvement. We're looking for someone who is observant, understanding, and capable of communicating possibilities and threats clearly while bringing development forward. You should be curious, helpful, and solution-oriented, with experience in:

  • Professional Python experience
  • Version control systems and CI/CD pipelines (Perforce or GitLab)
  • Service deployments using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Salt
  • Monitoring and alerting using ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, or others

Estimated Salary Range: SEK 650,000 - 850,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
