About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced technical expert to join our Checkout team. The team is responsible for designing and developing comprehensive checkout and point-of-sale (POS) solutions, from UX to backend and storage. We seek someone who can drive technical solutions forward, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and make informed decisions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop high-performance backend systems that serve our point-of-sale and mobile point-of-sale.
  • Work closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and data teams to create cohesive solutions.
  • Design and implement REST APIs and microservices using Java/Kotlin.
  • Improve system observability and maintain high standards for code quality, security, and scalability.
  • Present plans and solutions to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Technical background with expertise in modern engineering practices.
  • Strong understanding of system design principles and distributed architecture.
  • 5+ years of experience in backend development with expertise in Java and Kotlin.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), CI/CD, and event-driven systems.
