The Opportunity

As a Team Lead Credit Risk at TN Sweden, you will lead one of our international based teams responsible for end-to-end credit risk management for large merchant exposures and credit portfolios amongst several licensed and legal entities within Worldline Merchant Services (MS).

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to lead by example and guide your team, managing your own portfolio with large and strategic merchants. You will be at the core of our organization with high visibility and communicate internally and externally at executive level.

About the Role

As Team Lead, you will manage a team of senior credit risk analysts and oversee your own portfolio with merchants. You will conduct enhanced credit risk and financial analysis, produce credit memos and annual reviews of merchants to assess their creditworthiness. You will recommend appropriate credit limits, terms and conditions and present your proposal to relevant Credit Risk Committees for decisioning.

You will collaborate with various stakeholders such as sales, account management, legal and other risk departments and attend meetings with merchants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Credit Risk professionals and manage your own and team portfolios
  • Perform in-depth financial analyses and conduct detailed underwriting / credit assessments documenting the merchant business model and sector dynamics, financial performance with key indicators, credit risks and mitigants
  • Present your credit proposal to divisional and group risk committees
  • Perform quality control of your team's output
  • Carry out annual/periodic credit reviews of assigned limits and recommend risk class, changes in limit and collateral setup based on the outcome of the analysis
  • Collaborate closely with business development and advise/support them on the boarding process
  • Communicate effectively internally and externally at executive level
  • Review legal documents and amendments ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
  • Credit risk signing authority (based on your level of expertise/experience)
  • Coach, develop and guide your team members

Requirements

You are driven towards achieving goals and dedicated to prioritizing work in a dynamic and fast-paced setting. You have a good sense of responsibility and always strive for perfection and deliver simplicity. Previous experience with credit assessment, including assessing financial documents and business risk profiles is needed. You also:

  • Have over 3 years' experience in leading a team, previous experience of establishing a new team from the ground up is considered a plus
  • Over 8 years' experience in credit risk, extensive knowledge and a deep understanding of financial analyses and accounting principles
  • Possess a strong leadership profile and people management skills to be able to manage and develop your team and get the best out of each individual
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with senior management, business divisions, other risk management functions and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work together with other business line teams to identify and assess the level of risk the organization is taking on and to propose actions to mitigate risks
  • Solution driven and ownership; self-starter; ability to drive projects with minimal guidance and focus on high impact work
  • Full working proficiency in English
  • A master's degree in finance, accounting, business economics, or related field
  • Payment industry and specific sector knowledge is an advantage
