We develop, sell, design, and manufacture large motors and generators for various applications at ABB Large Motors and Generators (Machines). We have global responsibility within ABB and deliver to all continents.

Your Position:

As a Senior Sales & Business Development Manager for Synchronous Condensers at ABB's division Large Motors and Generators in Sweden, you will be responsible for overseeing market opportunities, establishing lasting relationships with customers and partners, and directing solutions that enhance grid stability.

Main Tasks:

  1. Maintaining market awareness, identifying leads, and discussing trends with potential partners/customers.
  2. Developing and following the strategy and building relationships with both potential partners and customers.
  3. Identifying opportunities, supporting customers during different phases, developing suitable business models, delivering quotations, and resolving pricing issues.
  4. Creating attractive offers for our customers and following up.
  5. Engaging in power systems, energy storage, wind, solar, and mining discussions on social media, conferences, and trade shows, as well as following regulator discussions and information related to grid stability and the electricity market (ancillary services).
  6. Marketing our products and services, providing training for customers and other stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications:

  1. Understanding of grid stability requirements and competing technologies.
  2. Knowledge of transmission systems operators and distribution systems.
  3. Experience in long-term projects and relationship building with high-level commercial and technical partners.
  4. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
  5. Experience in public contracting/tenders, sales, and working with EPCs.
  6. Cooperation skills and interest in building relations, systematic, self-directed, responsible, flexible attitude to work, always considering the customer.
  7. Excellent communication skills in English and Swedish.
