About the Role:

The ETL Developer will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing ETL processes, ensuring seamless data integration across various systems. This involves close collaboration with the Development team, as well as other stakeholders to achieve project goals.

  • Design and implement new ETL processes to enhance data quality, accuracy, and efficiency;
  • Collaborate with the Development team to identify and resolve technical issues;
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continually improve skills and knowledge;
  • Provide expert guidance and support to junior team members to foster growth and development.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate should possess a strong academic background in Computer Science, a minimum of 3 years' experience in IT, and proficiency in FME, SQL, and TransactSQL. Experience in data modelling, data warehouse architecture, and Agile methodologies is also highly valued.

  1. A university degree in computer science (or equivalent) with minimum 3 years of experience in IT OR non-university degree with minimum 6 years of experience in IT;
  2. At least 3 years of experience as ETL developer/Engineer developer using FME;
  3. At least 3 years of experience using SQL of which a minimum of 1 year using TransactSQL;
  4. Experience in FME flow management of workflows, job scheduling, resource allocation, error handling, monitoring, ensuring scalability;
  5. Experience in performance optimisation of ETL flows;
  6. Experience in data modelling and data warehouse architecture;
  7. Knowledge of the software development lifecycle in both: waterfall and Agile/DevOps modes;
  8. Experience working with work item management tool (Azure DevOps);
  9. Experience producing and maintaining technical documentation;
  10. Experience of working in an Agile environment;
  11. Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD and automation;
  12. Advanced TransactSQL skills and experience in SSIS;
  13. Excellent command of the English language.
