Are you ready to elevate your professional journey? We are in search of a Bid & Quotation Expert for Industry Applications to play a pivotal role in our Power Quality division at Hitachi Energy.

In this position, you will contribute to the Green Steel Transition by developing competitive proposals, estimates, and quotations for our cutting-edge solutions. You will collaborate closely with our internal engineering teams and external partners to ensure we deliver optimal solutions that cater to our clients' needs globally.

Our team operates from the Global Center of Competence main office, offering flexibility to work from various locations. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop bids that align with Hitachi Energy's policies and the Grid & Power Quality Solutions portfolio, focusing on STATCOMs for Steel Industry Applications, while providing efficient and cost-effective alternatives.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders globally to ensure timely and precise tender documentation. Your meticulous attention to detail will be essential in crafting compelling proposals.
  • Define the tender strategy and oversee all aspects of the bid process, including commercial, technical, financial, and risk management, while upholding Hitachi Energy standards.
  • Monitor market trends and identify customer requirements, working closely with our Product Management team to stay ahead of industry advancements.
  • Deliver bid presentations and provide technical support during client meetings.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in bids and contracts, leading the Risk Review process.
  • Cultivate positive customer relationships throughout the sales and tendering process.
  • Analyze and report on tender outcomes to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Candidate Profile

  • We value personal qualities such as a self-motivated mindset and the initiative to drive and enhance processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to collaborate in a dynamic, multicultural environment are essential.
  • A university degree in engineering, finance, or a related field is required.
  • Previous experience in bid management, sales support, project management, or a similar role is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with control systems, power systems, STATCOM technology, or semiconductors is a plus, though not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is essential for effective interaction with various stakeholders. Knowledge of Swedish or other languages is a bonus.
