Autonomous Gokart Platform Developer

We are seeking two master students with a background in mechatronics, electrical engineering, or equivalent program, who wish to conduct their thesis during the spring of 2025. The ideal candidate should have experience in electrical engineering, software development, and an interest in learning more about test automation. Proficiency in programming languages such as C++ or Python is required, and experience with Continuous Integration, Delivery or Deployment, Jenkins, Git, Test Automation, ROS2, and Machine learning is highly desirable.
About the ProjectThe Autonomous Platform is an open and educational platform developed by Infotiv Technology Development AB. The platform is currently in its fourth iteration (AP4) and aims to have an autonomous gokart that can be used to progress research and development in the automotive industry. This thesis aims to continue the development of a selected technical area of AP4, exploring topics such as autonomous vehicle software stacks, localization, obstacle detection and avoidance, adding new functionalities and sensors, improving the verification and validation process, and building HIL/SIL testing facilities.
Research QuestionsPotential research questions for this thesis include enhancing localization for autonomous navigation, real-time systems in centralized E/E Architecture, and verification and validation of complex embedded systems or autonomous vehicle software stacks.
