About the Role

As a Data Engineer on our team, you'll work hands-on across all parts of the data engineering lifecycle, from data ingestion to transformation and optimization. You'll have the freedom to explore and optimize all areas of our data pipeline, ensuring end-to-end quality, efficiency, and innovation in everything we deliver.

In this role, you will:

  • Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines on the Databricks platform.
  • Collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions that meet our business's needs.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the success of our data-driven initiatives. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with Databricks and a strong understanding of lakehouse architecture, as well as proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark.

You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines, collaborating with team members and stakeholders, and staying up-to-date with industry trends. If you're passionate about data engineering and want to take your skills to the next level, we'd love to hear from you.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in data engineering or data science.
  • Core Skills:

- Advanced proficiency in SQL and intermediate knowledge of Python.

- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Databricks.

- Familiarity with Medallion architecture.

- Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines.

- Proficient in Git version control and data modeling techniques (e.g., Kimball/Star schema).

- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processing.

Certifications (optional but desirable):
  • Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional/Associate.
  • Databricks Certified Associate Developer for Apache Spark.
  • Databricks Certified Machine Learning Associate/Professional.
Nice-to-Have Skills and Tools:
  • Experience with PySpark for advanced data processing.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts.
  • Knowledge of Delta Live Tables and Workflows for managing data pipelines.
  • Azure DevOps and Azure Cloud Services experience.
  • Hands-on experience with REST APIs for integration.
