The University of Gothenburg offers a unique opportunity for a highly motivated individual to participate in a cutting-edge research project focusing on the role of MSEP in cancer development.

The project aims to elucidate how MSEP regulates interphase-specific and mitosis-specific processes and its potential impact on cancer development.

The research involves investigating the structure of MSEP alone and in combination with key cell cycle-specific proteins using advanced biochemical and biophysical techniques.

About the Research Area

Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) play a crucial role in regulating gene expression. Our research focuses on understanding the mechanisms by which these molecules control cell cycle processes.

MSEP, a 54 kDa protein, is one such molecule that has been identified as a key player in cell cycle regulation. We will investigate its interactions with proteins critical for cell cycle progression using advanced biochemical and biophysical techniques.

What We Offer

The employment as a postdoctoral fellow is limited to two years, and you may have departmental duties corresponding to up to 20% of full-time employment. You will be employed at Sahlgrenska Academy, Institute of Biomedicine, Department of Medical Biochemistry and Cell Biology.
