Cytiva, a Danaher company, is looking for an experienced Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Director to join our team in Uppsala. As EHS Director, you will lead a team of 18 EHS experts across Process Safety, Work Environment, Occupational Health, and Environment to ensure the highest standards of safety, health, and environmental practices.

The EHS Director plays a key role in implementing and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance, injury prevention, and risk mitigation at the local level. This includes managing site-specific initiatives and partnering with Cytiva site leaders to improve safety culture, awareness, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs to ensure compliance and prevent injuries.
  • Partner with site leaders to enhance safety culture and awareness.
  • Implement Danaher's framework for continuous improvements.
  • Interface with EHS committees and Emergency Response teams.
  • Evaluate proposed laws and regulations to determine impact on compliance programs.

Requirements:

  • MSc Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and people management experience.
  • Several years of management experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably chemical industry or related.
  • Ability to drive EHS-related projects and knowledge of process and construction safety.
  • Fluency in English required.
