Job Overview

Vattenfall GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Intraday Power Trader to join our team in Solna. As a key member of our Wind- & Customer Optimisation Nordic department, you will play a crucial role in optimizing Vattenfall's Nordic Wind- and Customer portfolio on physical power markets.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in quantitative/financial disciplines, programming, and data analysis skills. They will be responsible for part-time work at the trading desk in our Nordic dispatch center, as well as analytical tasks supporting our experts in market analysis and development of algorithmic-trading.

Key Responsibilities

As an Intraday Power Trader, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Acting part-time (50%) as Intraday power trader at the Nordic dispatch center
  • Supporting our experts in continuous development of Vattenfall's Nordic intraday trading activities (market analysis, trading strategies, algos, forecasts etc.)
  • Challenging established solutions and initiating new business improvements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant University degree of quantitative/financial discipline (e.g. Engineering, IT, Econometrics, Mathematics, Physics or similar)
  • Programming and data analysis skills (preferably in Python)
  • Business sense and a 'trader's mindset'
  • Flexibility and ability to keep many activities ongoing simultaneously
  • Fluent in Swedish and good skills in English
