About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Software Engineer to join our Search Team at Truecaller. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Android applications that enhance our users' communication experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex Android features and applications using Kotlin, Coroutines, and Dependency injection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical requirements and implement solutions.
- Contribute to the implementation of RESTful APIs and integrate them with Android applications.
- Develop and maintain unit tests to ensure high-quality code and catch bugs early.
- Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge within the team.
- Participate in Agile development methodologies and contribute to the team's engineering standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Android development.
- Strong knowledge of the Android SDK and Kotlin programming language.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and Dependency injection.
- Ability to develop features while conducting unit tests.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Fluent in English, in speaking and writing.
- Experience in working with Agile methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with Jetpack Compose.
