Lead Bioinformatician

We are seeking an experienced Lead Bioinformatician to join our R&D team at Chiesi Farmaceutici S.p.A. The successful candidate will lead a team of bioinformaticians in analyzing and interpreting complex biological data, with a focus on transcriptomic, genomic, and proteomic studies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bioinformatics and computational biology, with a minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience. They will be proficient in analyzing NGS and single-cell analysis data using statistical programming languages such as R/Bioconductor or Python. A demonstrated track record of applying bioinformatic analysis to integrate and analyze omic and clinical data is also required.

The selected candidate will lead a team of bioinformaticians in designing, building, and monitoring analysis pipelines for molecular data and omic data. They will perform initial quality control checks and downstream analysis on data coming from -omics studies. Additionally, they will collect, QC, and homogenize public data sets for analysis and integration with internally-generated data.
