Job Summary:

We are seeking a Research Fellow in Chemical Ecology to join our team. As a researcher, you will contribute to the scientific development in collaboration with the head of subject and develop, lead and conduct high-quality research within the subject.

You will apply for external research funding in competition, publish scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals, develop, lead and conduct research-based teaching on postgraduate courses, and carry out supervision and examination at advanced and postgraduate level.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Contribute to the scientific development in collaboration with the head of subject
  2. Develop, lead and conduct high-quality research within the subject
  3. Apply for external research funding in competition
  4. Publish scientific articles in international peer-reviewed journals
  5. Develop, lead and conduct research-based teaching on postgraduate courses
  6. Carry out supervision and examination at advanced and postgraduate level
Requirements:
  • Completed a doctoral degree in biology or have equivalent scientific competence
  • Scientifically skilled
  • Demonstrated ability to obtain external research grants
  • Pedagogically skilled
  • Completed university pedagogical education or otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge
  • Experience in supervising students at advanced and postgraduate level
  • Good knowledge of English
