Linköping University seeks a highly motivated PhD student to join our Materials Design division. Our research focuses on developing advanced novel materials for efficient water purification.
The project involves fundamental and applied research within material physics and materials chemistry, primarily focused on development and use of low-dimensional materials for efficient removal of pollutants such as organic dyes, pesticides, phenols, and antibiotics.
You will be part of an international team performing theoretical investigations and experimental activities on a wide range of materials including advanced materials characterization, high resolution (in situ) microscopy, and synchrotron analysis.
As a PhD student, you will devote most of your time to doctoral studies and the research projects of which you are part. Your work may also include teaching or other departmental duties, up to a maximum of 20% of full-time.
To succeed in this position, you have graduated at Master's level in physics, materials chemistry or materials science/engineering or completed courses with a minimum of 240 credits, at least 60 of which must be in advanced courses in physics, materials chemistry or materials science/engineering.
