About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Department of Plant Biology, Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet (SLU). The successful candidate will work on a project focused on the regulation of RNA splicing and its role in temperature acclimation in plants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on the regulation of RNA splicing in plants and its impact on temperature acclimation
  • Develop and apply novel methods in molecular biology, genetics, and genomics to investigate the role of RNA splicing in temperature acclimation
  • Collaborate with the research group to design and implement experiments, analyze data, and interpret results
  • Contribute to the writing of research papers and presentations

Requirements

  • PhD in molecular biology, molecular genetics, functional genomics, cell biology, or related subjects
  • Strong background in plant molecular biology and experience with standard molecular biological methods and plant genetics
  • Previous experience in the analysis of RNA splicing, genomic methods, or temperature responses in plants is an additional merit
  • Excellent communication skills in both oral and written scientific English
