We are seeking an exceptional Postdoctoral Researcher to join our interdisciplinary team at the Department of Animal Biosciences.
About the ProjectThis research project aims to investigate food recalls in the food supply chain, focusing on food safety. Using registry data, we will examine why food is recalled before reaching consumers and where in the food chain these recalls occur. Interviews will also be conducted with businesses and regulatory authorities to explore their approaches to food recalls.
Your RoleYou will work collaboratively within our team, consisting of representatives from academia, government agencies, and the private sector. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting research related to food and public health
- Working independently in an interdisciplinary research environment
- Collaborating with colleagues to achieve project goals
- Publishing scientific work in relevant areas
The Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) is a leading institution in agricultural sciences, with a strong focus on One-Health and sustainable life. Our department, Animal Biosciences, is part of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences and is responsible for education, research, and postgraduate studies in several basic and applied scientific areas.
What We OfferWe offer a temporary employment contract for 24 months, with the possibility of extension. The position is full-time, and you will have access to essential equipment and infrastructure for your project, including molecular biology facilities, cell culture labs, and safety class II laboratories.
