About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Engineer System Architect to join our team at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for the technical development and strategic planning of our autonomous vehicle test bed, AD-EYE.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Technical development and architecture work for AD-EYE
  • Leading the development team and ensuring efficient progress
  • Representing the AD-EYE team in research project meetings and reporting on progress
  • Coordinating the development of AD-EYE, including reviews and monitoring, prioritizing requirements, and planning to maximize resource utilization
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with industrial partners, research groups, and suppliers, and proactively establishing new collaborations

Key Requirements:

  • Graduate degree or advanced level in software engineering, computer science, embedded systems, robotics, or similar field
  • Subject-related skills and industrial experience in concept development and project management
  • Proficiency in programming languages and technologies such as Matlab/Simulink, Python, Linux, C++, Git, ROS
  • Ability to see the bigger picture and break down complex tasks into manageable parts
  • Professional skills and knowledge related to vehicle technology, embedded systems, safety-critical systems, and software
  • Good collaborative abilities and strong oral communication and leadership skills

About the Employment:

  • Permanent post with a six-month probationary period
