Umeå University's Faculty of Arts and Humanities invites applications for a Professor of Theology position. This role is part of the Department of Historical, Philosophical and Religious Studies.
About the PositionWe are seeking an experienced theologian to join our faculty as a Professor of Theology. As a leading researcher in theology, you will contribute to the development of the department's research environment and participate in doctoral education.
The successful candidate will have a strong research background in theology, with expertise in biblical studies, historical-practical theology, church history, religious education, or systematic theology (including philosophy of religion and ethics).
You will be expected to teach at first, second, and third cycle levels, develop the theology subject's environment for research and doctoral education, and initiate new research projects.
A key aspect of this role is collaboration with colleagues, including planning and implementing teaching, contributing to departmental administrative tasks, and participating in staff meetings.
