Automation Technician

Job Information

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Equipment Specialist to join our team at Perten Instruments AB. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, adjusting, repairing, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance of electronic, mechatronic, electromechanical, or mechanical equipment. This role requires strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Disassemble, inspect, clean, repair, adjust, test, and perform periodic maintenance of standard equipment and systems.
2. Use troubleshooting equipment to assist in problem solving.
3. Assist with technical expertise for evaluation and decision on necessary adjustments in the PM plan for instruments/units.
4. Record and report abnormal functioning of equipment or of conditions and initiate corrective actions.

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, you must have a three-year technical degree or equivalent related work experience, as well as one year's experience in the installation, adjustment, maintenance, and repair of equipment or experience deemed equivalent. You should also possess computer skills, ability to understand and interpret instructions, formulate emails, memos, and ask clear questions to ensure understanding, and ability to write clear routine reports and correspondence. Fluency in both Swedish and English is required.

Working Environment:
This role requires the ability to work in a laboratory environment requiring personal protective equipment (e.g., lab coat, safety glasses, etc.) and may involve working with potentially hazardous materials.
