We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our team. This role will involve leading plant design and project management efforts, as well as managing performance and reporting to the Plant Lead.

Your Key Responsibilities

  1. ">
  2. Lead Value Engineering and decision making on non-made yet decisions.">
  3. Manage performance (including schedule and budget), report, and escalate internal and external performance-related issues up to the Plant Lead (using agreed KPIs).">
  4. Participate in overall coordination sessions.">
  5. Coach Unit Leads.">
  6. Make decisions on resource allocation in consultation with Unit Leads based on changing priorities.">
  7. Resolve conflicts between the units (escalation path).">
  8. Manage change from a cost and schedule perspective, in consultation with the Unit Leads.">
  9. Have the expertise to make engineering judgments without escalating to Plant Lead/other departments (but will escalate as required).">
  10. Own the Design development plan (e.g., when 30/60/90 model reviews are, etc.) - be the bridge from management into BoP Engineering, field questions, etc.">
  11. Own the list of project phase critical technical documents and deliverables for review and assurance (MDR).">

  • You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a related field).">
  • You have experience in plant design and project management, preferably in the steel or heavy industrial sector.">
  • You possess a proven track record in managing large-scale greenfield projects.">
  • You have strong knowledge of BoP systems and integration with core production processes.">
  • You excel in project management, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.">
  • You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.">
